Ashland Lake Gun Club

Tactical Shotgun Standards Course

Stage Three:

  • Scored Limited Vickers
  • 6 rounds of buckshot, 8 slugs
  • Props:
    • 1 Bianchi Barricade
    • 4 IDPA targets
    • 6 Pepper Poppers
  • Set-up:
    • Barricade is 30 yards from back-stop.
    • 6 Pepper Poppers, 10 yards directly in front of the barricade, spaced 1yard, edge to edge
    • 4 IDPA targets directly in front of the barricade, at the back-stop, spaced two yards, edge to edge.
    • Position One is behind the barricade, using cover. Position Two is 20 yards directly in front of the IDPA targets. This position is directly in front of the pepper poppers, but they will be knocked down in string one, so they won't effect string two.

String One:

Starting with the gun loaded to full capacity with buckshot only (6 + 1 or 8 + 1, SO to check ammo), gun at Hip Ready position (safety off, finger out of the trigger guard). On the start signal, engage all of the pepper poppers from cover, in tactical priority (slicing the pie). Execute a transition reload to slugs, and engage each IDPA target with one shot each, from cover, in tactical priority (slicing the pie). Shooter does not have to empty the magazine before reloading with slugs. IDPA targets accidentally hit with buckshot will be scored as misses. Any shooter that hits a pepper popper with a slug will be levied at $25 fine!

String Two:

From Position Two, starting with the gun loaded with 4 slugs, gun at shouldered, low-ready position. On the audible start signal, engage each IDPA target with one head-shot each.
